🔄 How to Upgrade to Wallet 2.0
You can upgrade your wallet to version 2.0 by using your original 12-word recovery phrase (Option A). If you no longer have access to your recovery phrase, follow the steps in Option B to create a new wallet.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Log into your Set Power Free account at app.setpowerfree.com.
- From the left-hand navigation menu, select Wallet.
- At the top of the Wallet page, you’ll see an upgrade banner. Click Upgrade to Wallet 2.0.
- Create a new wallet passcode. You may reuse your original Wallet 1.0 passcode, but we strongly recommend creating a unique passcode that is different from your Set Power Free account password.
Option A: You Have Your 12-Word Recovery Phrase
- Enter your original 12-word recovery phrase from Wallet 1.0 and click Complete.
Your wallet will now be upgraded and should display as Wallet 2.0.
Note: If you are redirected back to the upgrade screen (step 3) after submitting your phrase, simply refresh the page. Do not repeat steps 3–5.
Option B: You Do Not Have Your 12-Word Recovery Phrase
- Click Forgot wallet recovery phrase, then select Create New Wallet.
Reminder: You will need your Wallet 1.0 passcode in order to transfer funds after upgrading (see step 9). - Create a new wallet passcode. Again, we recommend it be different from your Set Power Free account password.
- A new 12-word recovery phrase will be generated. Record and securely store this phrase. You’ll be prompted to confirm it before continuing.
- Your wallet is now upgraded and both Wallet 1.0 and Wallet 2.0 will appear. Use the in-app transfer feature to move your funds from Wallet 1.0 to Wallet 2.0.
🚨 Important Reminders
- NFT Support: Wallet 1.0 does not support NFTs. To receive NFTs such as PowerPay, you must upgrade to Wallet 2.0.
- Already on Wallet 2.0? If your wallet does not display any version number, you're already using Wallet 2.0 and no upgrade is required.
- ERC-20 Transfers: If you hold ERC-20 tokens, transfer these first to your 2.0. They require ETH for gas, and you’ll need enough ETH in your wallet to complete the transaction.
